VHC: What’s the difference between a vegan and a vegetarian?
Me: Martyrdom.
A related story happened to me about six years ago while travelling on a main street in Memphis, TN. I was behind a gray compact car which was in serious need of some body work. I noticed the bumper sticker on the back which read:
HOW CAN YOU EAT RED MEAT ANDÂ CONSIDER YOURSELF PRO-LIFE?
I pulled up next to the woman driving the car at the next intersection and rolled down my window. She did the same. I told her that her bumper sticker helped change my mind. She smiled, thinking she had converted a carnivore. Then I said to her, “After thinking it over, I guess I’m pro-choice.”
She drove off in disgust.
